Evaluations

I'm writing end of the year evaluations for my students. I'm afraid they may have some Jane Austenism in them, because, you see, Claire and I just finished watching through the Pride and Prejudice production done by the BBC. It really is an excellent production and I highly recommend it. The rhetorical effect is also fun; watch it in fairly large doses and see if you aren't overcome yourself. Another fun one to try this with is the Kenneth Branagh production of Hamlet. If you favor these excellent screenplays with your careful and loving attention, you'll find they bestow a certain grace and poise upon even your most common discourse.
